NOW STREAMING: Carmen at the Sydney Opera House There are few operas as beloved as Carmen, with its sizzling score and dangerously seductive title character. This classic production, originally staged in 1987, was directed by international opera legend John Copley. The staging was filmed at the Sydney Opera House in 1991, with Richard Bonynge on the conductor’s podium and Chilean mezzo-soprano Victoria Vergara as Carmen. She's joined by two great Australian singers who have now sadly died: Debor
